Dealer status and authenticity.

We are not authorised dealers for any of the Watch manufacturers we feature on the site. The brand new watches that we sell are identical to those supplied by the authorised dealers. We Purchase from such dealers and Sell to the public and trade.
EVERY WATCH WE SELL HAS BEEN AUTHENTICATED BY EXPERTS. WE DO NOT SELL FAKE or REPRODUCTION ITEMS.

Definition of terms.

Brand new: These watches are sourced from authorised dealers and supplied with the manufacturer's international warranty and all associated packaging, instruction manuals and paperwork. Pre-owned: These watches have previously been owned. All 'pre-owned' watches have been given a full service prior to sale and carry a minimum of 1-years 'parts & labour' warranty. New Old Stock means the watch has never been owned but can been an old model, these are sold with 12 month warranty by Swiss Watch Store UK unless otherwise stated.

Ordering a watch Not in Stock.

To secure your watch we will need a deposit equal to no less than 50% of the total cost of the watch payable by bank transfer. Once the watch is ready to be dispatched we will contact you to take the final balance. Watches will not be dispatched until the final balance has been cleared, payment is required within 10 working days, after which time Swiss Watch Store reserves the right to resell the watch and order a replacement to fulfill the order. If you want to buy a watch with finance please ensure that you have been accepted before you make your deposit payment. If you pay a deposit and are subsequently refused finance you may, if you wish to cancel the order, be liable for a cancellation charge. If you need clarification on this please talk to one of the sales team. However, please note that if a consumer wishes to exercise a statutory right to cancel, such as that provided by Distance Selling Regs or when rejecting faulty goods, no Cancellationcharges will be made.

Different ways to pay.

  • Debit card. No surcharge. The watch must be dispatched to the billing address of the card
  • Credit card. No surcharge. The watch must be dispatched to the billing address of the card
  • Cash. In accordance with money laundering regulations. All notes will be authenticated on the premises.
  • Cheque. Payable to Swiss Watch Store UK. Funds must clear before the watch is released.
  • Bankers Draft. Not Accepted
  • Bank transfer. Only CHAPS transfers will be accepted. Please contact us for our bank account details.

Overseas orders:

If you are placing an order from outside the United Kingdom we need you may need to pay by bank transfer depending on the value. There will also be an additional cost for international shipping. If you require further clarification please call or email the sales team prior to placing your order.

Returns policy.

Items held in stock.

If you have ordered a stock item you can return it within 7 working days of receiving it. Return postage will be at the buyers cost and shall remain the property of the buyer until received back and signed for by  Swiss Watch Store personnel.You will be refunded on condition that the item is returned with all associated accessories and in the same condition that the item was supplied. It will be inspected on arrival and if it's found to have been marked there will be an additional charge for any refurbishment that is necessary to return the item to its original condition.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Order Cancellation.

Customised Watches
(those not held in stock).

If you wish to cancel your order you should notify us by email without delay We will acknowledge your intention to cancel within 2 working days. Once your watch has been altered to you specification (see above) you may become liable for a cancellation fee. Any cancellation fee will be calculated on an individual basis up to a maximum of 30% of the purchase price. The costs will reflect the potential losses incurred by Swiss Watch Store UK in selling the watch as a pre-owned item. Each case will be assessed individually.

Delivery.

All deliveries are made using the Royal Mail's 'Special Delivery' service. ( Large items by DHL) Each watch travels through a secure network which is separate from the regular post. The progress of this delivery is monitored at every stage via a bar-code tracking system. Accordingly, the Royal Mail guarantee that your item will arrive between 9.00am and 13.00pm on the next working day. All our deliveries are insured independently for loss or damage. All delivery times are estimations. Please ensure that your package is intact before signing for it.

Deliveries must be signed for by an adult (defined as person aged 18 or over) at the given address, once signed for responsibility for the order is transferred to the customer. All liability for loss, damage or theft is transferred from Swiss Watch Store UK to the customer. Any parcel which has been damaged or tampered with should not be signed for and delivery should be refused.

Delivery Costs.

Delivery Cost to any location within the UK are Included unless otherwise stated. For deliveries outside the UK the cost will vary according to the weight and destination of the parcel. Our original delivery costs will not be refunded if the item is returned under the distance sellind act, unless proven to be faulty on delivery.

Return Postage.

The customer will be liable for all return postage costs unless this is agreed by email from a Swiss Watch Store UK representative.

Warranty coverage.

Manufacturer's warranty.

All brand new watches are supplied with the manufacturer's International warranty. In the exceptional case that a brand new watch is not supplied with the manufacturer's international warranty this will be made clear at the point of sale and will be sold with a Swiss Watch Store UK Warranty.

Swiss Watch Store warranty

Where a product is supplied with a Swiss Watch Store UK warranty we guarantee that as long as the item is used in the way it is intended it will operate for the period of the warranty as it should were it  new. If your item develops a fault within the warranty period you must return it to Swiss Watch Store UK at your own cost and via a Traceable insured method. We will determine the best coarse of action, be it repair or replace and return the item to you. The customer will be liable for all return postage costs. All Swiss Watch Store UK warranties on watches cover the movement and time keeping only. Failure of Bracelets, Straps and all other aspects are not covered. All used watch ( Unless otherwise stated are sold Without Water damage cover, You should have your watch Pressure tested before using it in a wet environment. This warranty is in addition to your consumer statutory rights which are not affected.

Consumer Right To Cancel

Consumers have a right to cancel the order under the distance selling regulations by sending an email to sales@swisswatchstore.co.uk  or by letter to

We recommend notices should be sent by registered post only and signature obtainable method. 

 

This cancellation period begins as soon as the goods are ordered and ends on the expiry of seven working days beginning with the day after the day on which the consumer receives the goods.

 

The Consumer is responsible for the safe return of the goods to our premises  ( address shown aboveand at the consumers cost.  We would suggest that the consumer uses a courier service that offers both insurance and tracking with signatured delivery to ensure safe return.
SWS UK would not be responsible under the Distance selling Regulations for the cost of returning any goods. Complaints should be addressed to customerservices@swisswatchstore.co.uk
 
Pricing

Our pricing system is based on the manufacturer's recommended retail price. As manufacturers reserve the right to alter the RRP products without notice so we must also reserve that right. If the price of a watch changes the customer will be informed and will not be obliged to proceed with the order.

All prices quoted will be a Total Price inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

Collection

Watches can be collected by prior appointment from our offices at SWS UK, Unit A Ideal 2, Glanyrafon Industrial Estate Aberystwyth SY23 3JQ. Without an appointment, watches will not be available for collection. Our Watches are kept in our Local Bank. Please email Lee Mead for arrangement. A weekend appointment must be confirmed by the close of business Thursday prior to collection. You will have a wasted journey if you do not make an appointment!

Watch Renovation Service

The Swiss Watch Store offers a full service maintenance and repair service. Specialising in Swiss Wristwatches and pocket watches our repairs are guaranteed for one year from completition of renovation. The Swiss Watch Store will advise you if any part(s) needs replacing and an appropriate estimate will be supplied prior to commencing any work. All work is completed by our Very Experienced  Watch maker.

Work undertaken for a full service

  • Disassembly of the case and dial movement (manual) - £ 85
  • Cleaning/oiling of watch movement (automatic) - £ 239
  • Testing rate and adjustment as necessary (chronograph) - £ 110
  • Cleaning of case, bezel, Quartz and battery change - £ 95
  • Reassembly of the case and dial movement - inclusive
  • Quality control testing - inclusive

Please note that all renovation service costs are supplied subject to sight of your timepiece and the above are intended as a guide only, prices are subject to VAT.
