Ronde Solo Large Automatic TPD & Winder Settings | Swiss Watch Store
An automatic like the Cartier Ronde Solo Large Automatic only stays accurate while its mainspring holds charge. This model carries reference WSRN0021. It is powered by the Calibre 1847 MC movement. Set your winder to the figures below and the Ronde Solo Large Automatic stays wound, accurate and ready to pick up.
TPD and Winding Direction
The correct setting for the Ronde Solo Large Automatic is 650 turns per day, bidirectional: 650 turns per day with the rotor turning in both directions.
| Turns per day (TPD) | 650 |
| Rotation direction | Bidirectional |
| Movement | Calibre 1847 MC |
Why the Correct Setting Matters
An automatic watch is only as accurate as its power reserve allows. Keep the mainspring properly tensioned and the Ronde Solo Large Automatic will hold its rate and be ready to wear the instant you pick it up — no resetting the time and date. Set the TPD too low and the watch can run down between wears. The movement will not be damaged (modern automatics have a slipping mainspring that prevents overwinding), but an under-wound watch is simply not doing its job. Correct settings are about accuracy and readiness, not safety.
Choosing a Watch Winder for the Ronde Solo Large Automatic
The key feature to shop for is programmability: independent TPD and direction controls that cover 650 TPD bidirectional. Single-watch winders are ideal if the Ronde Solo Large Automatic flies solo; multi-watch winders make sense the moment you own two or more automatics. Our watch winder collection covers both.
